Innovation has become a mantra for our times. Many company directors and commentators even consider it an end in itself, endlessly referring back to “disruption” as if it were a silver bullet. Conversely, we often have an unfortunate tendency to forget what lies at the root of true technological and cultural disruption: curiosity, which remains the fundamental basis of both individual and collective intelligence[1].
