Wakam receives approval from Lloyd’s to begin underwriting its syndicate

European B2B2C insurer Wakam  has announced that its syndicate 1347 has received approval from Lloyd’s to begin underwriting as early as 2023.

Wakam’s Syndicate 1347 will contribute to Wakam’s reinsurance & capital diversification strategy. This partnership with Lloyd’s supports the European insurer’s future growth ambitions. Wakam’s new VP Chief Underwriting Officer, Karl Gray, based in the UK, will be the syndicate’s Active Underwriter. The syndicate was launched as part of Lloyd’s Syndicate In A Box (SIAB) initiative and will operate on the Lloyd’s platform.
